I have tried to create a quest staircase with a black background. It does work when I use a gray background rgb [0,0,0], but it does not when the background is set at rgb [-1,-1,-1]. Is it just not possible to do so with a black background in psychopy? Even when the contrast is set to -1 the gabor is still clearly visible.
