Background music + Stroop Task

Hi all,

I am conducting an experiment that is a stroop task over background music. I am having the hardest time figuring out how to make the background music continuous while allowing the participant to solve the stroop task. I’d really like the stimuli (color/word) to disappear after the participant response without interrupting the background music in any way.

So far, I have resorted to splicing the background music into 2 second .wav files so that the participant has 2 seconds to solve the stroop task. I’ve made it so the response is recorded, but it doesn’t affect the presentation of the stimuli. Is there a better way? =(

This is probably a more basic question, but how do I create the option to present a 2nd condition of my experiment? My solution was to just build a second experiment, but I don’t like that I have to use two different icons on my desktop to access the two different conditions of my experiment. Is it possible to do it with just one icon?
