Okay, sorry I can’t help you for now! I’ll keep you posted if I find a workaround.
Also linking the other threads that might have similar issues, just in case you missed one:
Thanks for your quick reply. I am, in fact, not sure I got this line “In your sound compoenent, switch from specifying the sound file on every routine to instead be during the name of that static period.”
So, the “$sounds” value in the Sound subfield refer to the columns in my ‘conditions.xlsx’ file containing the names of individual .wav files. Are you suggesting doing something else? Sorry I am just a beginner user of PsychoPy.

I use two loops to go through all the sound files.
In the first loop, I set up a .xlsx file to name the rows in each condition: formated as in here '0:5, '5:10, '10:15…
In the second loop, I used a .x…

What are you trying to achieve?: In the exposure phase of this experiment, I want to present a number of soundfiles (of variable durations) in a random order to participants who must memorize them. The first soundfile is generally presented in its entire duration, however subsequent soundfiles seem to be cut off if they are of longer duration than the first …
