Survey versions
On the survey overview page, there is an option to change the survey version.
This is the equivalent of Use PsychoPy version in PsychoPy Builder. Changing the survey version does not change the survey JSON file. The only change is the URL that you use to recruit participants. This determines which interpreter turns your JSON file into a survey to be viewed by your participants.
2024.1.0 can only cope with a single block and is therefore not suitable for multi-block surveys imported from Qualtrics. Variables do not include the block name which makes logic and data files easier to work with. Used in embedded surveys using PsychoPy 2024.1.x.
2024.2.0 allows for multi-block designs but has some difficulties with accessing variables. Used in embedded surveys using PsychoPy 2024.2.x.
2024.3.0 allows researchers with a Pavlovia licence to save data at the end of each page, instead of data only being saved at the end of the whole survey. Whether you can use this data will depend on research ethics approval. Used in embedded surveys using PsychoPy 2025.1.x.
When you return to the survey page you will see the selection back at 2024.2.0 rather than the version you most recently selected. The version seen by your participants will depend on the URL you give them. If you selected to save on each page, this choice will be remembered, even though you cannot change it unless you reselect 2024.3.0.
