Subpixel rendering grating stimuli with offset

PsychoPy version : PsychoPy 2021.1.4

What are you trying to achieve?:
In my experiment I use grating/bar stimuli with very small offsets in between them. For me it is crucial to display subtle differences, which are smaller than the pixel pitch of my monitor.
I was thinking about implementing subpixelrendering to display this subtle differences.

The stimuli look like this:

What did you try to make it work?:
I cannot figure out how to implement subpixel rendering code into psychopy or if it’s automatically implemented already

Hi @Helen!

I’m wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this. I’m noticing issues in changing polygon width from small movements of those polygons that suggest to me that psychopy has not implemented subpixel rendering.
