Stroop feedback is presented differently online than locally/ offline

OS MacOS Monterey
PsychoPy version v2021.2.3

Dear Psychopy Community,

The color stroop I created runs fine locally on my computer, as soon as I upload it to Pavlovia and start it the feedback changes from “Great, right”, or "That was wrong“ everytime to “hello”. Unfortunately I don’t get any error messages. If I may provide any more information to get to the solution, please let me know!

I appreciate any help and have a nice day!

Best wishes,

Milos

Hi @Milos1,

I’ve taken a quick look at your experiment file and it seems as though your code components that you use to generate the feedback were set only to ‘Py’, which means that they are not translated to javascript when you push the experiment online.

On each of your code components, could you please change the drop down from ‘Py’ to ‘Auto JS’ - meaning that the Python code typed in the left hand side is automatically converted to javascript on the right hand side, as in the screenshot below:

Please let me know if this change solves your problem!
