OS Windows 10
PsychoPy version 2025.2.4beta
What are you trying to achieve?:
I am simply trying to send a trigger marking the start of a trial (when stimuli appear) using the PsychoPy builder view. A cedrus c-pod links the usb output of the pc to the trigger port on the eego mylab from antneuro. The windows laptop for running eeg data collection is then connected via usb. One thought I had was that it has something to do with the port connection, but it seems like the port to the EEG is listed as a serial port on the PC. I’m fairly confident that the connection and port are identified correctly because we have been able to record eeg triggers using other software. I also know that the rest of my PsychoPy experiment runs correctly. However, when I run my PsychoPy experiment with a Serial Output component specifying a start time of 0 s, numeric data types of 1 and 0 for start and stop respectively (start is at time 0.0 s and stop duration is .10 - I chose this as a placeholder for now), the trigger events do not appear in the eego software. Does anyone have experience sending EEG triggers with this kind of setup?
I am happy to provide any relevant further information, but am unsure where exactly I am going wrong. Maybe I should be using a parallel port component instead?

I believe I follow the steps listed here & here, though neither addresses the cedrus c-port in detail:
