Question about Random Selection without Repetition

Hello Everyone,

I am new to psychopy platform. So I have a list of 60 stimuli that I would like to separate randomly into two groups with no repetition in each. My goal is to present this two group in two different routines. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks! Any help is appreciated!

What did you try to make it work?:
So far I tried randomizing it in excel first, but I failed to have non repetition

What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
Include pasted full error message if possible. “That didn’t work” is not enough information.

I must admit that I’m not entirely sure what you’re trying to achieve…:

  • You have 60 different stimuli
  • You would like to split those randomly into two groups of 30 stimuli
  • You would like to avoid within-group repetitions - this is what I don’t quite get: Do you repeat the 30 stimuli multiple times? Or is it not 60 different stimuli? Or…?
