Hello! I need precise auditory latency but can’t update to a newer version of PsychoPy to use PTB and the associated prescheduling, etc. Is there any coding workaround? If not, how can I check latencies on this older set up? The only sound library I’ve been able to get working is pygame. It’s a 32 bit windows machine, not sure exactly which psychopy version it is.

a simple way is to record your audio output and measure it. Does the output appear with the expected interval. See The timing mega-study: comparing a range of experiment generators, both lab-based and online [PeerJ] to get some suggestions and ideas how to measure timing quality.
