If you have an Other (please specify) option, the additional response can be accessed using {question1-Comment}
If you have a question with multiple responses (such as a matrix table), the individual items can be accessed using {question1.statement1}
Clicking out of a text response means that {question1-Comment} notempty is true. However, the value itself does not get updated until another item is interacted with.
