I am creating a memory experiment where participants see a face image and occupation text, and then have to click the text “old” or “new” during a recognition task. I used the mouse object with the clickable stimuli being the two text objects for “old” and “new,” but when I run the test trial and click either option, nothing happens. I also made the face image a clickable stimulus for the mouse, and that worked and allowed me to proceed to the next trial. So the problem seems to be the text not being able to be clicked.
Update - The problem seems to be that psychopy is not recognizing the text’s position, and instead it is clicking an invisible area where it assumes the text is. I have uploaded a screen recording to illustrate.
I should also mention that I am very new to psychopy. Any help would be appreciated.
