"looks like your correct answer variable needs to be set to update" :/

Hello! I’m making an experiment that requires a correct answer to be logged through key press. Problem is, even though I made an Excel sheet with the variable for correct answer along with the key presses (right, left), it doesn’t register it as a variable that can update. I have no idea how to fix it and it’s incredibly frustrating since it’s barring me from the development of the rest of the experiment. Thank you!!

If this template helps then use it. If not then just delete and start from scratch.

What are you trying to achieve?:

What did you try to make it work?: Creating a variable in debug text and setting it to update every repeat and frame.

What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:
Include pasted full error message if possible. “That didn’t work” is not enough information.

The warning is erroneous and should be ignored. What is the actual behaviour you’re seeing?

I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but when I get to the start of the loop, it just shuts the experiment down. I have a stimulus excel file and specified the conditions/parameters. Essentially, I’m trying to play one version of a sentence and then have the listener decide between two texts which was said.

Sound presented —> one sentence on left, one sentence on right

They should then decide which one it is by a key press (← or →) but it never even gets tha far…

In that case there should be an error message in the Runner.

Thank you—I’ll check when I can, but i think it said something like an exit ticket and then it gave me a csv file
