URL of experiment: Pavlovia
Description of the problem: The task consists of an n-back with two blocks, each of which presenting a sequence of 120 images (each between 1 to 5 MB) with a 1.5 s duration, and a jittered ISI. Looking at the .log output files I noticed that the presentation durations of the images are consistently around .17 seconds too short, and this .17 seconds is then added to the following jittered ISI period. I initially thought that the problem was to do with loading the images online and that they were taking too long, so I tried the three solutions here (Resources in online studies — PsychoPy v2024.1.1), none of which solving the problem. The presentation of the first image in the sequence of trials is presented on time, but is not presented for the full 1.5 seconds (around 1.33 seconds), making me think that maybe this isn’t a problem with loading images online, but I’m not sure. The experiment specified in the URL doesn’t use any resource component, but specifies the images to load in the “Additional Resources” in the “Online” tab in settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
