I am trying to create single choice questions using the Form component. I would like to present the question, then on four separate rows underneath the four response options. Only one can be selected. I am using the type “choice” and layout “vert”. I have itemWidth and responseWidth both set to 1. Unfortunately, the response options are not spaced correctly and end up overlapping, see the attached image. Ideally I would like the response options to fill the full width of the object.
Thanks so much for that! I believe this is a bug, which I’ve just reported to our devs so thanks for sharing! I’ll respond back on this thread as soon as I have updates or a fix/workaround.
Are you planning on running your task online at all or just locally?
Thank you, Kim. Right now we are running the task locally. Otherwise I would look into the Survey tool, but do I understand correctly that this does not work locally?
Ya this seems to be a known issue. I tried to mess around with adding line breaks (\n) but couldn’t make it work for all the items.
In the meantime, you could could separate each item in the list as a routine, and each component (question and answer items) be their own text component or have it all in one text component (and you can use jpgs made in powerpoint if you don’t want to mess around with formatting.
