If you are using Prolific then you can daisy chain through either of my participant number apps.
If you use the VESPR Study Portal then your Daisy Chain should be:
Prolific → VESPR Study Portal → Experiment → VESPR Study Portal debrief → Prolific
You use id to carry the Prolific id. The portal adds values for participant, session and group.
If you use one of my simpler tools that don’t check for completion then you would do
Prolific → VESPR tool → Experiment → Prolific

I’m still unsure about a point. Since I won’t go through the VESPR portal for my experiment, I understand that I can use your ID app to modify my URL and send it to Prolific, which would solve the issue of increasing participant IDs. However, I didn’t understand whether it’s possible, by following the method I described, to access the option of restarting the ID counter by subscribing to VESPR, or if this option is only feasible for studies running through the VESPR portal.

Resetting the participant ID in https://moryscarter.com/vespr/pavlovia.php or https://moryscarter.com/vespr/survey.php needs me to manually change the database. This extra step is deliberate to avoid accidentally resetting the id and having data with duplicate participant numbers.
I’d be happy to do this for a particular study a small number of times in exchange for a “coffee” or a subscription to the VESPR Study Portal.
That would be great! In my case, I’d probably only need that a few times, and I’m happy to subscribe to VESPR also as a thank-you for the app.
