I’m a PhD student in the Psychology-Neuroscience & Behavior program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I’ve been programming in Python (consultant and hobbyist) for years, other languages (mostly C based) for longer (although I’m pretty rusty at them now).
In school, I mainly run experiments using EEG, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, fMRI, and dabbling in other biometrics. Outside of school, I do too many things that most people won’t care about in this section (I’ll list it at the end).
My scientific interests exist somewhere between perception and errors of perception. I want to break perception down and rebuild it into something new. There’s more but you can ask if you’re interested.
I’m also a massive supporter of Open Source software and the Open Science movement. Transparency, collaboration, and equality. I contribute to projects in the Open Source realm and provide most of my code/projects on my GitHub website listed below.
Above all else, I like expand the view of researchers who think they are limited by the tools they know/can afford. Anything is possible.
Interests: Hardware development, software development, integrating technologies, skateboarding, performing music, painting/drawing, cooking, reading, writing, learning, audio engineering, graphic design, networking, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, building furniture, wood work, philosophy, toys.
