# Unable to switch to run mode

Description of the problem: I can run the experiment with no issues in PILOT mode. The issue arises when I switch to RUN mode. The run button grays out and the url displays this message:  
“Unfortunately we encountered an unspecified error (error code: 40.)  
Try to run the experiment again. If the error persists, contact the experiment designer.”
