# thisIndex not updated within loop

Hi everyone,

I’m not sure if this has been fixed. But it seems like **thisIndex** (_the index of the current trial in the conditions list_) is still not updated in online experiments.

I read from [this post](https://discourse.psychopy.org/t/use-thisrepn-correct-online-experiment-created-with-builder/8167) and know that index like **thisTrialN** can be easily updated by adding a counter in the code component, but I’m not sure how to update **thisIndex**.

I appreciate any help.
