Text component runs when it should not

My text component runs through the loop when it should not be running, and I have two questions:

  1. Is there some setting for a text component, like there is for a code component, to define when it runs (begin routune, end routine, etc.)??

  2. How does the condition setting in a text component work?
    Basic → Start → condition
    to what condition is it set?
    what does it get as input argument?
