So the problem is that the characters are being cut off? Normally when people have reported this happening with Chinese characters, the issues has been due to the font being used, and is resolved when another one is selected. Unfortunately, Arial usually seems to be the one that people have most success with, which is the opposite of your experience.

So I’d suggest experimenting with different font names. You’ll need to use exact names for the fonts, which can be found using hints here:

Text kerning causing Chinese character overlap

Win 10, Psychopy 1.85.2 When trying to display Chinese characters, the kerning causes the characters to overlap. Can I add a code box to change the space between the characters or the font to properly display the characters? Any recommendations for displaying Chinese text would be helpful! Edit: I think this might have more to do with setting the text width since it is dependent on an aspect ratio of the height. I’ve tried the previous solution of setting font= ‘Songti SC’ but it does not fix…

@Michael Thanks! I went over the fonts from findSystemFonts(). The monospaces fonts: VeraMono, Andale Mono, ElroNet Monospace (downloaded from the internet) didn’t help: Vera and elro had spaces while Anadale had no space but some characters was cut. However, while iterating over the fonts I saw that Arial presents the sentences really nicely.
