Loop is ignored online on the first trial

URL of experiment: Sign in · GitLab

I am trying to setup a computerized version of Festingers peg turning task.
Procedure: Fixation cross, Participants should rotate an arrow until it points upwards, press space and a next circle with an arrow appears etc.

Problem: Offline everything works pretty well. However, when I run the experiment online it appears like the loop “rotate” is ignored on the first trial. When the mouse is clicked inside the circle, the waiting screen appears and the program proceeds with the next trial. The trials after the first work as intended.

I am happy about every helpful advice!

Do you end the rotate loop by pressing space? Is the space bar also pressed earlier? You might need to clear the keyboard buffer.

Best wishes

Thank you very much, a quite simple solution I totally forgot about!
