# How to make PsychoPy sound reading

**PsychoPy version** (e.g. v2021.2.3):  
**Standard Standalone? (y/n)** If not then what?:  
\*\*What are you trying to achieve?: sound reading \*\*

**What did you try to make it work?: Just uploadinf the file I have without importing any specific package**

**What specifically went wrong when you tried that?:**  
All details are reported as follows.

I’m trying to figuring the problem out I’m facing with PsychoPy. When I try to upload this file

that actually is a `.svp file` I get this error:

RuntimeError: Error opening ‘audio\_track.svp’: File contains data in an unknown format.

while when I try uploading this `file `.wav

```

psychopy.exceptions.SoundFormatError: Tried to create audio stream 32000\_2\_128 but 44100\_2\_128 already exists and win32 doesn’t support multiple portaudio streams

Can anyone could know a possible solution to fix this out. Thanks in advance

All sound files need to have the same bitrate. You can change this in Audacity.
