# Experiment runs on pavlovia but not psychopy (local computer)

Description of the problem:
Hello all. I have a task that runs perfectly fine on Google Chrome, however it encounters an error whenever I try to run it locally through PsychoPy. I’m trying to update the videos that are shown in the task, but this is difficult to do if the original code doesn’t even work on my computer. Thanks in advance!

you might want to upgrade before trying to fix the error when running the experiment locally See here

With running locally, do mean to run it locally in a browser or to run the python-code?
Notice, that in case you upgrade that the folder html is not used and its existence causes problems in newer version.

Hi Jens,
I mean to run the python code. However, I am also unable to run it locally in a browser.
I am using the PsychoPy 2022.2.5 for macOS. My OS is Ventura 13.0.1.

Hello,
yes, you might be running PsychoPy 2022.2.5 on your Mac but the version on Pavlovia is 2020.1. You need to “move” your old version to the new version. So, for instance, delete the html-folder and the index.html locally. Try to compile the code to Python and look for error-messages.
Or give version-setting of PsychoPy a try to get it running.
