Avoid keyboard eccentricity in online experiments (?)

I need an online experiment in which two response keys are equally distant with respect to the centre of the screen.

On my mac, for instance, F and K keys are quite “central”, but this is not the case for many other laptops.

Any idea? Am I just a dreamer?

Thanks.

You could ask the participant to press the key 10cm from the A key and then use A and the response to that question

They would need a ruler, or you could refer to the width of a sheet of A4 paper or other standard items.

Best wishes
