Hello, I hope you’re well! I have made a PsychoPy experiment that runs well. However, the sounds are distorted. They play perfectly on my desktop, but are crackly and clipped during the PsychoPy experiment. I am using the 2024 version. The sounds are pulled from an excel file in a loop for randomization. They are wav files. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Hi There,
Are you able to install the newest stable release (2025.1.1) and see if the issue still exists?
Thanks!

Try converting them to a different file type instead of .wav, and see if that fixes your issue. As for the clipping I’m assuming that means the end is cutoff? If so, try making it so that if you add a keyboard response that ends the routing, and setting the audio components duration to blank, if it still clips the ending of the audio file.

I’ve found issues with clipping which I generally solve (when it’s important) by adding a second or so of silence at the end of the audio file.

Yes! Updating PsychoPy to the 2025.1.1 version worked perfectly, thank you so much!
