I’m a Professor of Psychology Methods at University of Nottingham, but better defined as a pretty keen geek!

I started writing the PsychoPy library back in 2002 (in March, according to sourceforge.net/psychpy) just for my own lab’s experiments and used it for all my own studies since 2003. I made it available online and a few people started using it. They asked for features and gradually some people started adding things themselves (most notably Jeremy Gray). Gradually the project grew.

We’ve now got hundreds of contributors and tens of thousands of users (http://usage.psychopy.org) and they seem to be liking the app.

This makes a geek very happy
