Can you give us a quick update on the status of the pyxid package in the 1.84.1 version?
I would be especially interested to know:
1.) Is it still included in the Standalone PsychoPy distribution (couldn’t find it under Lib\site-packages)?
2.) Is the package going to be up-to-date? Especially regarding the commit by Jared Roberts fixing cedrus button box to crash when buttons are pressed in rapid sequence.
Thanks for the quick reply! I was referring to the windows distro (1.84.1). In previous versions (1.82, 1.83), there was the following folder, which appears to be absent in the current version:
Ah, you’re right. Not sure how that got lost/removed. I’ve (re?)installed it on my windows deve machine so it should be appearing again with the next release.
For manual install you currently need to download the source code from github: https://github.com/cedrus-opensource/pyxid/archive/master.zip
and from that zip file drag the folder that’s called simply pyxid (inside pyxid-master) and drop it in your site-packages
Today, we installed the pyxid package manually in the lab. As it looks like, the most current version is not working properly. So we excluded the most recent commits step-by-step to end up with a working version. This version includes the commit by Jared Roberts and the Cedrus button box seems to work now without crashing when multiple buttons are pressed.
